Welcome to our weekly news update!
This week I want to highlight a podcast I found very interesting...
This podcast (see video below) features Andrew Gallimore, a neurobiologist, pharmacologist, and chemist, who has been at the forefront of studying how psychonauts (individuals who explore altered states of consciousness) are mapping hyper-dimensional worlds. Gallimore's work primarily revolves around the use of psychedelic substances, such as DMT (N,N-Dimethyltryptamine), a powerful hallucinogenic compound.
His research focuses on how DMT can induce complex and profound changes in perception, emotion, and thought, which some users interpret as accessing 'other dimensions' or 'hyper-dimensional' spaces. Gallimore is interested in understanding these experiences from a neurobiological perspective and how they may provide insights into the nature of consciousness.
One of Gallimore's key contributions has been in theorizing how DMT interacts with the brain to produce these altered states. He has proposed models that explain how DMT might temporarily modify the brain's information processing capabilities, leading to experiences that are vastly different from normal waking consciousness.
Additionally, Gallimore's work delves into the potential therapeutic applications of such psychedelic experiences. He explores how these altered states, induced under controlled and safe conditions, might help in treating various mental health disorders by providing profound, introspective experiences that can lead to personal growth and healing.
Gallimore is also known for advocating the development of technology and methodologies that can extend the duration of DMT experiences, allowing for a more prolonged exploration of these altered states. This research aims not only to map the phenomenology of these experiences more thoroughly but also to enable a deeper understanding of their potential therapeutic benefits.
In summary, Andrew Gallimore's research into how psychonauts map hyper-dimensional worlds through DMT use is a pioneering effort in the field of psychedelic studies. His work seeks to bridge the gap between the experiential, often mystical aspects of psychedelic experiences and the scientific understanding of brain function and consciousness.
Reminder that we have a two courses that are an incredible benefit to those wanting to le
arn more about psychedelics. The first is our new course, Integrated: Beyond the Journey. This course will provide valuable insight on psychedelics and how they can be used to alleviate anxiety, depression, PTSD, and also help cognition, creativity and feelings of connection. This course will provide integration exercises to help you prepare for an experience, learn about the various psychedelic compounds that are most commonly studied and used as well as provide exercises for after an experience to integrate back into your life.
Additionally, we have our brand new Psychedelic Facilitation Course for women: Medicine Woman. This course is for people who are familiar with psychedelics and want to incorporate facilitation and integration training into their current practice. Whether you are a sound healer, energy worker, coach or any other holistic provider, this course can be an incredible addition to helping your clients heal and grow.
